How Our Business Opportunity

Works … or Doesn’t

Network Marketing is often a misunderstood business model … and often in our 70-year history a poorly applied business model. Most companies that have launched with this model have failed and failed quickly either with mediocre products or by a “race” mentality. They focus far more on setting growth records and hyping the financial opportunity than they did building a sustainable reputable business.

I have been a full time Network Marketing sales leader and or company owner since 1977. I know how to build a sustainable reputable business. And I have had my failures for sure. I have learned far more from them than from my successes.

If you find yourself confused about our model, abused by it in the past or you are just a skeptic please read on. I may shed some light on who we are and how we apply the Network Marketing business model to Life Matters.

  • Is Life Matters one of THOSE companies?

    Yes, and no. We proudly employ the Network Marketing business model. We just do it differently.

    Here is how we are the same:

    1. We are a Network Marketing, MLM, or Direct Sales company just like 1,000 other companies like us based in the US. Our business model has been flourishing around the world since 1946.

    2. Our distributors do approach their friends and family first to introduce our products and opportunity. And then they continue on to their coworkers and extended network. Eventually they even invite people they have just met to take a look.

    3. We are true storytellers. We tell our stories about what the products have done for us, and invite others to try them. We tell our stories about what we are building financially and why, and invite others to just take a look.

    4. Most people who attempt to be successful end up giving up … either altogether or just to remain a customer. It is not for most people.

    Here is how we are different:

    1. We do not think you SHOULD do anything … not buy our products, not become a distributor, not earn more money, not quit your job, not even get healthier. We do not impose our values on you.

    2. We do not argue with you about your opinions, objections or decisions.

    3. We do not seek to make you wrong.

    4. We do not encourage you to make decisions that are really more in our best interest than in yours.

    5. We do not make promises we cannot keep or embellish the truth. We do not make income claims … possibilities, yes. Claims, no.

    6. We do not make unsubstantiated claims for our products.

    7. We do love and honor the decisions we have made for ourselves to be Life Matters customers and distributors.

    8. We do love the Network Marketing business model, especially the geometric progression growth aspect … what Einstein called The Eighth Wonder of the World.

    9. We do love our second incomes … some of us even love abundance, freedom and wealth, and we do not apologize for it.

    10. We do love our products and our own true stories of what they have done for us.

    11. We love to LISTEN and ask questions … authentic, curiosity-based questions so we can get to know you better, whether you become a customer or not.

    12. We love inviting people to “just take a look,” and letting them decide what is right for them.

    13. We love following up with people, asking them again if now might be a better time to take a look.

    14. We love to have fun and build fantastic relationships with each other, frolicking with the world as our playground.

    15. We love to grow personally, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. We are not resting on anything. We are “Betterment Seekers.”

    16. We love our competitors. We see them as collaborators. They make us better. They make us all stronger.

    17. We love our critics. They keep us humble and sharp.

    18. We love our dreams and the paths we are all on to progressively realize them … including the struggle. For without struggle, there can be no triumph, and we are in it for all of it. Life … it all Matters.

The Unstoppable Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian organization bringing sustainable education, food and nutrition, healthcare, access to clean water, and sanitation to children and communities. Together, we are helping to build a thriving, just and sustainable world.

What We’re Doing

5-Pillar Development Model

Together, Life Matters funded the 3rd Schoolhouse & Sponsor a Village Program for the Irkaat Community, including:

Education

  • Modern, durable schoolhouse
  • Classrooms furnished with desks, books and supplies

Clean Water

  • On-going hygiene, clean water and sanitation workshops
  • Two private latrines and hand washing stations for students

Food & Nutrition

  • All students are receiving a daily nutritious lunch
  • 1/4 acre demonstration garden at school is being created to provide food for students and agricultural instruction

Healthcare

  • All students received routine deworming
  • All students have access to monthly mobile health clinics

Income & Empowerment Training

  • Training for parents to start an entrepreneurial enterprise such as agriculture, animal husbandry and beading
  • RESULT: Familes will be able to afford to keep their children in school

This incredible foundation is the premier provider of hope to families with children who suffer from cancer in the Inland Northwest. It was built with the heartfelt devotion of its founder, Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien, who lost his three-year-old son, Andrew, to cancer.

We’ve partnered as an Underwriter to help support these families with critically needed services they may not have access to - improving their health, well-being and quality of life.

Boys and Girls Club

Our children are our future and we helped finance a $2.9 million 20,000-square-foot club that focuses on empowering children near our corporate headquarters in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We also pledged ongoing financial support that has totaled over $60,000.

The center, A Positive Place for Kids & Teens, has an athletic center, teen center, technology center, and food court to nurture local youth to become productive, caring, responsible citizens.
